As We Prepare for Our 50th

As we prepare for this year's 50th class reunion, we look back on our 45th already with nostalgia. Great fun was had reconnecting, some with friends still current and some with friends we'd lost contact with over the years. Terry R. watched to see if his best school friend would appear on the list of attendees, but not until the night of the event did Rich D'Amico appear, much to Terry's surprise and happiness. They have continued to keep in touch, with countless visits back and forth.

The evening of the dinner, one-time band members came together again to recreate the sounds of their youth, and did a wonderful job of it. Everyone truly appreciated their efforts, which brought back many nostalgic moments.

Little contests were held, lots of memories were resurrected and it was a real party.

There were tours held, one of which was through the old Central High building. The Dacotah Prairie Museum helped out with supplying old yearbooks for the purposes of creating name badges, or looking up old information.

Paul Guttman Solomon got the ball rolling with the help of many classmates to bring about that wonderful 45th Reunion, and again these classmates are together planning another wonderful event for our 50th Reunion.

Some, but not all committee members are Bob Couser, Kathy Anderson Schaunaman, Jan Brandner Heier, Alice Anderson Disbrow and her husband Dennis Disbrow.

We hope to have an excellent turnout this year. To date, many of the classmates already vouched for are ones that did not attend the 45th Class Reunion, so it should be wonderful reconnecting with more friends from the past.

As the years go by, many classmates have passed on, and as this is the process of life, we can but mourn their passing and continue to live our lives to the fullest. A full list of deceased classmates will be displayed at the reunion, thanks to the efforts of Jan Heier. They are remembered.
